1. He is the first ever minister of Himachal pradesh who provided his phone numbers on every HRTC buses, HP tourism hotel (during previous term) and on all civil supply retail outlets.
Moreover he never kept his mobile 'switched off' like others.
2. He is the only minister who refused to accept the 'guard of honor' when all others were accepting that. He refused the
'guard of honor' as he always believe that he is one among the common man.
3. He donates considerable amount of his entire income to the welfare of poor of the area.
4. He has launched 'Operation smile' for the needy poor of the area who can't afford the high cost of plastic surgery.
In the 'operation smile' free camps are being organised to treat 'cleft lip' and 'cleft palate' at nearest possible locations.
5. He is patronising and running the 'Nagrota welfare society' with the prime objective that nobody in the area is left without
education and medical aid. Nagrota welfare society' is serving the community without politics.
6. 'Bal mela' is organised every year on 27th July in which all the people of the area, primarily children and women participate.
Main highlights of this annual carnival includes- special free rides including animal rides for children, free medical-aid camps,
cultural activities (including many star performers), 'Mister' & 'Miss' Nagrota competitions and many more.
