Bal mela is organised by 'Bal Mela Ayogan committee' on 26th & 27th July every year on the occasion of birthday of Sh. G.S. Bali.
All the people of the area, primarily children and women participate in this long awaited event.
Main highlights (all free of cost) of this annual carnival includes-
Special free rides including animal rides( elephants & camels) for children.
Special dishes like - ice-cream & jalebis.
Special 'Kangri Dham' (Community lunch)
Cultural activities (including many star performances from artists of Himachal & all over India).
Special programmes from 'Bollywood' artists.
'Mister' & 'Miss' Nagrota competitions.
Plantation activities.
Blood donation camp.
Health Exhibition.
Special medical camp by specialist doctors of PGI, AIIMS, Fortis & Appolo hospitals.
Cardiology Check-up Camp ( 2 days) (26th and 27th July every year)
- By super-specialist doctors of ‘Escort heart institute’ New Delhi.
- Special laboratory is setup to conduct ECG and ultrasonography tests.
- Echocardiography is also performed in the same camp.
- Usually 300- 400 procedures are done in this camp.
